A word about the new look...

So we look just a little different, huh?  We were having more and more trouble with our old service provider, so we finally switched to a new host, new server, and upgraded all our software to the latest versions.  Over the past couple of weeks, the amount of time that the site has been down had just gotten out of hand, and the service provider didn't seem to be willing to alleviate the problem.  The old "theme" didn't behave too well with the upgrades, so we picked a new one.  (I should say, "I" picked a new one, so if you don't like it, it's all my fault.)  We may make some more changes too the look, but all the old stuff should be there.  Hopefully this will keep the site up and give more room to grow in the future (wink!)

WELCOME to FestivalDirt.com!!!  We’re glad you’re here.

Get yourself registered and logged in so you can talk about your favorite music festival!!

We've been here for just over a year now and it's always good to see new faces drop by.

Naturally enough, we are all getting excited about MerleFest which is just a few weeks away now but we’d like this forum to become a sort of “catch all” for informal festival discussion, with room for pictures too!!  If you’d like a festival added, please contact one of the Admins with some basic information about the festival and what makes it so good and we’ll do what we can, as soon as we can, to get it all set up!

So wherever you favorite festival is, whatever it is that you listen to (or think we should be listening to) let us know ... you're never to old to learn (as I am testament to)

We request that you not only write posts, but READ all posts with an open mind, and remember…..it’s better to ASK what someone meant, than to attack for what you THINK they meant!  There will be NO blatant attacks allowed on the forum and the offending members will be dealt with accordingly.  This includes flaming on any level and just being down right mean!

Remember…..we’re here to have some fun talking about MUSIC festivals!!  So let’s all be friendly, happy, and well….GIDDY OVER THE MUSIC!!!

Enjoy your stay and continue to spread the word that we're here! Once again..... Welcome to FestivalDirt.com!!

FYI: The Link Bar above contains links to The Forum and The New Gallery Section!

**This forum is not affiliated in any way, shape or form to ANY festival we might discuss, their sponsors, nor their hosting locations.  We’re simply here to meet new folks, talk about our favorite festivals, ask for and receive information and advice, and have a little fun!!

"LeRoi Moore, the versatile saxophonist whose signature staccato fused jazz and funk overtones onto the eclectic sound of the Dave Matthews Band, died Tuesday of complications from injuries he suffered in an all-terrain vehicle accident, the band said. He was 46."

The following message has appeared on the MusicFest web site:

"Doc let us know on Tuesday that he will not be able to attend MusicFest this year.  He wants you to know that he is sincerely disappointed that he is unable to be with you on Saturday.  Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers as he recovers"
